However,whenIcontactedStIvesParkPrimary,MrsKingtoldmethatthefirstthingtheydoistestthechildrenthoroughlyatthebeginningofeachyearandputtheminabilitygroupsforreadingandmath’s.Itwaslikemusictomyears.
BothboyswereputinabilitygroupsabovetheirclasslevelandonewasgradeskippedattheendofTerm1.TheyareboththrivingatStIvesPark,sociallyandacademically,afterbeingmostunhappylastyear.
Thestaffareveryresponsivewhenanissuearisesthatneedsattention,andhavebeenflexibleintheirapproachtoproblemsandpossiblesolutions.Changingschoolsseemedabigstepbutithascertainlybeenthebestthingwecouldhavedone.
