In2011ChatswoodPublicSchooliscelebratingmorethan128yearsofeducatingthechildrenoftheChatswoodcommunity.Ourschoolis,asithasalwaysbeen,aplacewherechildrenachieve‘ExcellenceinaCaringandEnrichingEnvironment’.
Ourschoolfirstopenedonthe9thJuly1883with34students.MissAgnesBurtwasthefirstteacher.Astheschoolgrewthedecisionwasmadetomoveitclosertotherailwaystation.Itwasreopenedin1895onitscurrentsite.AlexanderNoblewasappointedPrincipal.By1900theschoolpopulationhadgrownto581andwasnowcalledaSuperiorPublicSchool.Theschoolreacheditpeakenrolmentof2438studentsin1933.Ourcurrentenrolmentis708students.
