Sporting
Beingonly6kmfromthecentralbusinessdistrict,itisunusualtofindagirl’sschoolwithsuchacomprehensiverangeofsportingfacilitiesonsite.Thegrassedovalandthe25mshort-courseswimmingpoolareadjacenttotheclassroomsandteachingareas,withfivetenniscourts(somebeingmarkedfornetballandbasketball)alsobeingonthesamesite.TheBrisbaneRiveralsooffersasuperbtrainingsiteforrowing.
AspartoftheSchool’sMasterPlan, therefurbishmentandupgradeoftheschool’sswimmingpoolwillcommenceinthenearfuture. ANewGymnasiumandMulti-PurposeFacility areintheplanningstages.
FineandPerformingArts
TheJoignyfacility,completedin2003,hassecond-to-nonefacilitiesformusic,art,theatreandinformationsystems.Themusicfacilitiesincludethreelargeclassrooms,sixrehearsalroomsandarecordingstudio.Artclassroomsarecomplementedbyasculpturecourtyardandkilnandaresupportedbyalongtraditionintheschoolofcreating,acquiringanddisplayingworksoffineart.TheStuartholme-BehancollectionofAustralianartworksisonloantotheUniversityofQueenslandbutmanyotherpiecesadornthehallsandelegantroomsofthegraciousoldbuilding.Performances,too,areverywellcateredforwiththe500-seat,air-conditionedtheatrehavingatree-toplevelgreenroomandspaciousfoyerattached.Themaintheatrecanalsobedividedbymeansofoperablewallsintotwosmallertheatres,eachseating150,andaperformanceareacomprisingthestageandfloorarea.Thisfacilityisoftenhiredtoexternalgroups.ThisisorganisedthroughourDevelopmentOffice.

Boardingfacilitiesareprovidedforapproximately150girlsonsiteintheextensivegroundsofStuartholmeSchool. Studentsareabletoutilisealltheschool’sfacilitiesincludingthelibrary,poolandothersportingfacilities. Inrecentyears,thecommonroomshavebeencompletelyrefurbishedandanewtelevisionroomadded. Oneofthemainbathroomswascompletelyrefurbishedduringthe2010-2011SummerHolidays.

In2010,theStuartholmeP&Fgenerouslydonateda21seaterSchoolBus.
ThebusisextensivelyusedbyboththeDayandBoardingSchool,takinggirlsonexcursions,sportingcommitmentsandboardingoutings.
